Forum Title: Doxycycline for Erectile Dysfunction - Is It Worth the Risk?

Posted on:

Posted on:

Hi everyone,

I've been taking Doxycycline for a couple of weeks now. It's been effective for my problem, but now I've noticed a slight increase in my blood pressure readings. It was a bit rough at first, but it now seems to be working. Is there any other treatment options?

Answer:

Firstly, do not take it if you experience side effects like headache, upset stomach or runny nose. If you experience any side effects that seem to be more severe, it is best to contact a medical professional immediately. They can help you get an accurate diagnosis and determine if Doxycycline is appropriate for your situation. You can also ask your healthcare provider for a prescription, though you should only take this medication if it is prescribed by a licensed healthcare provider.

If you are unsure whether Doxycycline is right for you, here is what to know about the risks:

1. Always follow the prescribed dosage guidelines, as they are generally safe and effective in treating a range of conditions. This includes blood pressure readings, heart rate, and weight. If you are unsure, speak to your healthcare provider about any alternative medications or supplements that are available.

2. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. This can lead to ineffective treatment, even when it's given in the right amount and dosage.

3. Don't exceed a daily dose unless instructed by your healthcare provider. This can be a concern when taking a medication with alcohol, especially at high doses.

4. Do not increase your dosage or discontinue the medication without consulting your healthcare provider.

5. Keep all medications out of reach of children and pets.

6. It is crucial to ensure that you are using the medication at the same time every day to maintain proper dosing. This includes taking the medication with food or a full glass of water, as this can influence how the medication works.

7. Ensure that you follow the prescribed dosage guidelines to ensure that all medications are effective.

8. Ensure that you maintain proper dosing to maintain the effectiveness of the treatment.

9. Follow the prescribed dosage instructions carefully, and do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

10. Always read the label and follow the directions provided by your healthcare provider.

Hi,

I was prescribed Doxycycline for my Erectile Dysfunction, and have noticed a slight increase in blood pressure readings. This is due to the fact that I've been taking a daily dose of the antibiotic, doxycycline for around 2-3 days, and then the drug was effective for about 4 days. However, the blood pressure readings were not quite as bad as I initially thought. So, it looks like I'm not a complete candidate for this treatment and I would be best off taking my regular Doxycycline. However, I'm still not sure if it is worth the risk of side effects if I experience any side effects.

Would appreciate any advice on this forum, and any other issues I might be facing?

I was prescribed Doxycycline to treat my Erectile Dysfunction. I was concerned about blood pressure readings as I had been on it for quite a while, but decided to try it myself. However, the readings came back after a few weeks, so I had to stop taking it and see how my blood pressure readings would go. After trying various other treatments, I began to feel a slight increase in my blood pressure. It wasn't as bad at first but then the blood pressure readings increased significantly. So, I was worried that the blood pressure readings would not be as good as I thought. But, after trying multiple other antibiotics, I noticed the same thing happening. Now, I am a bit hesitant to try the Doxycycline, since the side effects may not be as bad as I thought.

However, I would suggest discussing this with your healthcare provider if you have any concerns or questions about the treatment. I am sure that they will be able to provide you with a proper diagnosis.
